Mediocre Christians Cast Away

Mediocre Christians Cast Away –  Matthew 7:19 (KJV),

“Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.”

I feel as though the Lord has reminded me that there are those who are mediocre Christians. Mediocre was the word I was pondering on during prayer time. I kept hearing a thought that some people think they are meeting God half way and they aren’t even meeting him a quarter of the way. There are many who are so busy doing their own thing and enjoying the sweet pleasures God has given them that they don’t give enough time to God.
IF the good Lord is sending me a message of warning for God’s people it probably has to do with a warning to be careful not to fall into the trap of being a mediocre Christian.

Please read the Word of the Lord & pray asking God to free you from the trap.
The trap of becoming a mediocre Christian is a very serious matter.
The trap is sent by the devil to keep God’s people from being productive for the Lord. If a person falls into this particular trap they will become like fodder.
Instead of feeding on God’s Word to help share the Gospel story with people who need to hear it you would become like bait that is fed to sharks.

You should understand that God has good plans for you but the enemy seeks to destroy you.
The enemy wants people to fall into the trap of being so busy taking care of their own selfish desires that they don’t see how much they’ve wasted their time when they do their own thing.
They consistently lose opportunities of serving the Lord until it’s too late.

If you feel as though it’s possible that you have become a mediocre type of Christian or one that doesn’t put enough work into finding what God wants you to do with your life then please ask God how you can change.

I believe true Christians are meant to change on a regular basis.

We are so far from perfect that we need to seek God’s face to find out what area of our lives need changed.

It’s up to each person to clean up their own lives with the help of the Lord, right?

If there is anything or there any things that you know are prohibiting you from following the Lord more closely I ask you to give those things up in order to be
totally obedient to the Lord.
Mediocre means middle of the road or
being like a fence sitter.
Revelation 3:16 (KJV),

” So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” ← Think about that for a moment. Have you ever spit something out of your mouth because it tastes awful?
