God reminded me of more things in a dream.
I had met a pastor and his wife decades ago. I had attended a church where they ministered to people. I appreciated them. They showed much kindness. They appeared to be people that would be led by God. I thought they would most probably spread the good news for the rest of their lives.
There came a time when they said they were in a group and they would be building a new church. Funds were taken from people for that purpose.
The pastor’s wife stopped communicating with me. I was interested in knowing more about the new church. She ended up letting me know they had stopped plans to build the church even though they had collected 10s of thousands of dollars for that purpose. My understanding was that the pastor and his wife would be keeping the money they sought for ministry and the funds now became their own personal funds. It seemed so wrong.
There are swindlers in the world and swindlers in the church.
It is swindling when someone takes money for one purpose and they use any portion of that money for a purpose it was not intended to be used for.
That happened a couple of decades ago. I felt it was wrong but I do not think that there were any laws of the land that were broken. I have met a couple of people involved in the ministry that do things like that on a regular basis. I have also met people who say they are Christians that will swindle people out of money. Their greed for money is more important to them then showing God’s love to people. The ones involved in the ministry take funds using the name of the Lord and then they give themselves and their close family members the cream of the crop. They say the funds are for the Lord but it is quite clear that they have found ways to legally gain all they can from the funds they touch. Thankfully I do not believe that all people involved in the ministry do this.
It appears as though are a lot of people that will take funds from people so they can line their own pockets. It is scandalous. It’s sad. It is also called stealing.
Many of the things these type of people do are things that go unnoticed. We do know that God knows what is going on but they seem to lack a true fear of the Lord. If they really believe in God then they know that He knows what is going on. They may look like they are fine upstanding citizens and precious members of their local church. Many people may not realize that there are tricks of the trade being used in some churches, too.
I know of a woman involved in banking that heard me tell of a so-called Christian man that intentionally lied in his real estate business. She told me something about how those were only tricks of the trade. WHAT?? Tricks of the trade! Christian people are not supposed to be involved with using tricks in their trade. That same banker apparently has no problems with tricks in trading. That person is supposed to be a Christian, too.
I have friends and family members that can tell true stories about how they have been scammed by business people. Accountants, bankers, realtors, people who sell cars, people involved in collecting funds for charities, some pastors … you name it. If a person deals with making a commission on what they sell or they are involved in a business where money is regularly handled it is quite possible they have found ways to line their own pockets even if it means taking funds from people who have greater needs than they have. Some business people can not keep their jobs if they don’t bring in the big bucks. The people they work for expect them to do whatever it takes to bring in lots of money.
Within the last month I had that dream that showed me the one swindling pastor. I saw that his face was marked. His face had many scars on it. I now believe it’s possible that each scar represents all the times he harmed other people.
I prayed about that dream. I looked up the Scripture about Cain receiving a mark on him. The Scriptures reminded me that God knows everything people do to harm their brother. God marks those who are walking in sin. They may not always be held accountable this side of heaven but God knows what those people have done.
They will answer to God.
They should repent. We pray they will repent and turn away from their sinful ways.
I am receiving peace and accepting what I personally cannot change. I trust God to be faithful. He will do everything he said he would do.
God makes many promises in his word. One of those promises is about vengeance.
Romans 12:19 (KJV),
“Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”
Christian friends, Are you upset because you found out someone is a swindler, a liar, or a cheat?
Trust in the Lord to tend to those who do what is wrong.
Pray for the swindlers but stay away from them as much as possible. Bad company corrupts good morals. You don’t want to get infected with whatever evil spirits lead them to act in such awful ways. Pray that they will be delivered. Look at what the Bible says about swindlers:
Words from Revelation 21,
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Words from 1 Corinthians 6,
9Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
