2 Corinthians 6:14-17 (KJV), “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.”
I have met numerous people that say it’s okay to date someone that is not walking with the Lord because you may just convert them over to Christianity then you can marry them. It doesn’t work that way. I have rarely heard of positive repots when a bonafide Christian marries a new convert.
I have heard of parents that claim to be Christians that will teach their children that it’s okay to date a non believer because maybe they can help the unbeliever get saved. Those same type of people may tell their children it’s okay to live in sin, too. It’s unfortunate that our society has accepted these unholy practices. Living with someone before you marry them is not God’s way of doing things.
Be aware of the fact that the enemy of God’s people will plant wolves in sheep clothing near a Christian to entice them and seduce them when possible. Take time to make sure the people who claim to be Christians are truly Christians that are sold out for Christ before you enter into a serious relationship with them.
Warning: The devil wants God’s people to disobey God so they will miss out on the full blessings that come from God.
