Brand New Things

I have met a lot of people that like brand new things.There are a couple of Scriptures that came to my mind when I thought about new things.

Isaiah 43:19 (KJV),  “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” &

2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV),  “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Okay so it’s easy for me to think about new beginnings right now because the websites I had been working on for years needed some change. I had to ask an experienced web builder for a new way to work on the websites because the hosting plans were changing.

The web builder told me I should download info from the old websites and choose a new program.

I sort of wanted things to continue the way they had been going. Isn’t that usually the easiest way to do things? I really wasn’t prepared for making more adjustments.

I know change can be good but I was not fully ready for the new web building experience. I definitely wasn’t delighted when I discovered that the web builder that was helping missed saving all of the photos from the old websites. Because those photos were not stored I can not add them to the new webpages.

UGH! Yes, I wrote that. I wasn’t happy to find out that some of the old photos may be lost in cyberspace forever or they may have been deleted for eternity.

Some times we get excited about change and then we complain when we discover exactly what it means to go through the things we must endure to have change come forth.

“BEHOLD, I WILL DO A NEW THING & IT SHALL SPRING FORTH.”

One thing I am sure of is that it doesn’t do any good to say, “UGH!!” too long. Dwelling on the things that have been lost or the things that are behind us is not a good thing unless you think about how God caused all those things to work together for good.

God gave the Israelites a new path to walk on. He helped deliver them from their captivity. He blessed them in many mighty ways. He set them free from their slavery. BUT the people of Israel complained.

They forgot the many things God had done for them and they started to long for the things of the past. I have read those Bible stories then gotten angry at the people who quickly forgot all that God had done for them. Some of the people actually talked about how they longed for the place where they had been.

Thankfully the good Lord helps some of us read the Biblical stories and learn how we can apply the Spiritual lessons to our own lives. I talked with another Christian woman about how quickly I realize that I could easily become as bad as those ungrateful people I just wrote about if I don’t ask God to forgive me for the UGH moments and pray that God will show me how to move forward to receive the new things he has in store for me.

The other woman I talked with told me she has similar feelings when she reads about the sinful ways we find other people have acted. We could become like them if we don’t humble ourselves and pray asking God to help us react to circumstances his way.

Let’s walk with God doing what we know is right.

Let’s stop complaining about what we once had and start looking forward to what the future holds for us.

Put a smile on your face & allow the love of Jesus to flow through your heart.

Gates Are Always Open

I just read passages from Revelation 21 where we are told that the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.

WOW!!!

I love the light.

I have watched a few loved ones of mine walk into the morning light as they start their day.  It always seems as if the daylight gives them energy to get up and go.

There will be no night in the HOLY CITY, the NEW JERUSALEM.  YEAH!! Did you know about these places?

Did you know the gates will always be open?

It’s all totally awesome, isn’t it?  Praise the Lord.

We are going to be able to live forever with the Lord in a place where there is always light and the gates will always be open.

Some people used to welcome friends and family by telling them that their door will always be open to them.

God welcomes his people to come to the place where the gates will always be open and the light will always shine because God will be there.

The glory of God will lighten our way.

Revelation 21  (KJV),
“21 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife.
10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.”
26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”

Let It Be Made Known

This evening my youngest daughter’s dog went outside but he was not so eager to come back in the house.

The dog smelled a rabbit or saw something that captured his attention.  My daughter knew it may be a while before her dog would want to come back inside.

She was tired so I told her  I’d let her dog in when he was finished running around the yard with excitement.

She told me to remember to let him in before I went to bed.

I let her know that he would let me know when he was ready to come inside.

The words, “Let it be made known” were going through my mind a few times after I said that.

I was pretty sure there are some passages in the Bible that tell us God will let some things be made known.

I prayed asking the Lord to help me find a passage that helped me know at least one of the things he will make known to us.

Here is the first passage I found about something God will make known to his people.   Can you see it in Ephesians Chapter 1?

Ephesians 1  (NIV),
“1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,
To God’s holy people in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Praise for Spiritual Blessings in Christ
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, 9 he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.
11 In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 12 in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. 13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.
Thanksgiving and Prayer
15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, 16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. 17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.”

I loved reading this whole Chapter from the book of Ephesians.

God not only plans to make the mystery of  his will known to his children he is going to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.

We’re a chosen people.  We are predestined according to his plan.  When we believed we were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession – to the praise of his glory.

Look at the words in the rest of Chapter 1 where Paul prays that people will be given a Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so they may know him better & he prayed that  eyes of hearts may be enlightened in order that people may know the hope to which he was called. . . incomparable great power for us who believe. That is said to be the same power that was exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at the right hand of God.

I got a lot more than I expected when I began to search for one of the things God will make known to his people.  Do you see it all?  Do you get blessed when you read about how God inspired Paul to write and to pray that people’s hearts will be enlightened?  Doesn’t it bless you abundantly to see that prayer we can pray for one another to get to know him better?  It blesses me immensely.

I want to know God better.  I want to pray that other people will know him better, too.

I also believe that He will make himself known to those who truly want to know him.  Draw near to God and he will draw near to you.  Resist the devil and the devil will flee.

God is greater than the enemy.  The enemy is a defeated foe.

I was also extra happy to read about the deposit that has been made on our inheritance.  It is a deposit that guarantees our inheritance.

For a moment or two I thought about earthly inheritances.  There are some people on this earth that will do almost anything to get that earthly inheritance and they may even do all they can to prohibit others from getting a fair share or they may do all they can to get it all for themselves.  HA!! Sad news for them if that’s all they care about.  An earthly inheritance is nice but the heavenly inheritance that God has in store for his people is an everlasting inheritance.  God has a new home waiting for those who take up their cross and follow him.  The righteous shall inherit the land.  There is a new heaven and a new earth.  Read about the new heaven and earth spoken of in Revelation 21 and also see the type of people that will not be able to live in that wonderful land.

Revelation 21  (KJV),
” And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

People that walk with God know they are saved by God’s grace and it’s a free gift given to us by God.  They also know that we will all be known by the fruit of our lives.  You can tell if someone is walking close to God by paying attention to how they really live their lives.  Some times you may not see if they are a liar or a thief.  You may not readily see if they are greedy especially if they wear a mask that makes them appear as though they are  one of the sheep in God’s household.   I’m sure that those type of people will not be able to deceive the Lord. God knows which ones are the wheat and which ones are the tares.  God knows who is wearing a mask.  No one has ever been able to trick the Lord.  No one will ever be able to deceive God.  God will not be mocked.   God tells his people to believe and to repent.  A person that repents of their sins also turns away from their sins.

If you read anything in God’s Word that causes you to realize that you have sinned and you need to get right with God get right with him now.  Don’t wait until tomorrow.  You really don’t know what will happen tomorrow.  If the sins that trouble you the most seem unsurmountable and you feel as though you cannot overcome the sinful life you’ve been leading turn to the Lord.  Call upon the Lord so he can save you and help you.  If you confess your sins he is faithful and he will forgive you and cleanse you of the evil things you’ve said and done.  See 1 John Chapter 1 especially verse 9.

God makes promises and he will fulfill every promise he has made to his people.  When he puts a deposit on something it will be granted.  You can fully trust in God to follow through.

People on this earth may have made empty promises to you.  People on earth may not intend to break promises but some times things happen beyond their control and their former plans may fail.  Oh and some people are just jerks that continue to make empty promises because they are not honest people.

Rest assured that God will keep all of his promises.

God is the absolute best promise keeper.

Deliverance

The KJV IS NOT THE FIRST OR NECESSARILY THE BEST VERSION OF THE BIBLE

There is something that has been shared in some churches for a very long time.

There are some people that proclaim something that appears to be a lie about the KJV.

Did anyone stop to think about how confusing the KJV has been for people that have been residing in America for decades?  No wonder the devil wants to get people in a trap believing things about the KJV that are not true.

The KJV is not the first or the original translation of the Bible.

The first Scriptures were written in Greek, Hebrew, and Chaldee.

This means that Scripture or Passages originated from the languages that were first written in  Hebrew, Chaldee or Greek.

The King James Bible most certainly may be the easiest Bible to study if you use a good  concordance to find out the original meanings of some words or how people came up with translating the KJV the way they did.

There are other good translations of the Bible that make it much easier for the reader to understand what is being shared in the Scriptures.  The modern day English reader will not always readily understand all the chapters that are found in the King James Version of the Bible.

I firmly believe the Lord hates lies and he does not want people to be ignorant about the truth.

It is a lie to try to make anyone think that the King James Version of the Bible is the only Bible that can be trusted.

It’s sad when a sect of believers tries to control all the people in their group to follow them instead of following the ways of the Lord.

I have witnessed how confused some people are when they hear some of the words shared from the KJV.

I’m thankful there are other translations of the Bible like the NKJV, the NASV, the NIV, and a few other Bibles that can be used to help people readily understand what the original content was when the Scriptures were written.

The Word of God is infallible.   The Word of God is inspired by God.

The Words spoken by God were spoken by the Holy Spirit and God’s Word is always alive  & true.

Dreams God Pours Out His Holy Spirit On Mankind

Open & Unashamed

My best friend that lives in Florida told me about a dream she had last Sunday.

Her dream reminded me of a prayer I was calling her about today.

The dream she had spoke to her directly in ways and

it also served to confirm the prayer thoughts I was having to ask the Lord help us serve the Lord daily.

She was unashamed in the dream.  That portion of her dream reminded me of words found in Isaiah 54.

I shared some of the Scriptures with Genevieve then began to tell her how I believe that if we are unashamed of the Lord he will not be ashamed of us.  We can openly share the things of God even when we know there are many who will not understand why you share so many things about the Lord.  Many people do not serve God and they surely don’t understand why we serve him with ardent and  strong devotion.

People that serve God may find that if they are willing to totally submit to the Lord without being ashamed of Him in any way they can be useful to do the Lord’s work.

Isaiah 54  (NIV)
The Future Glory of Zion

“Sing, barren woman,
you who never bore a child;
burst into song, shout for joy,
you who were never in labor;
because more are the children of the desolate woman
than of her who has a husband,”
says the Lord.

“Enlarge the place of your tent,
stretch your tent curtains wide,
do not hold back;
lengthen your cords,
strengthen your stakes.

For you will spread out to the right and to the left;
your descendants will dispossess nations
and settle in their desolate cities.

“Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame.
Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated.
You will forget the shame of your youth
and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.

For your Maker is your husband—
the Lord Almighty is his name—
the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer;
he is called the God of all the earth.

The Lord will call you back
as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit—
a wife who married young,
only to be rejected,” says your God.

“For a brief moment I abandoned you,
but with deep compassion I will bring you back.

In a surge of anger
I hid my face from you for a moment,
but with everlasting kindness
I will have compassion on you,”
says the Lord your Redeemer.

“To me this is like the days of Noah,
when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth.
So now I have sworn not to be angry with you,
never to rebuke you again.

Though the mountains be shaken
and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken
nor my covenant of peace be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

“Afflicted city, lashed by storms and not comforted,
I will rebuild you with stones of turquoise,
your foundations with lapis lazuli.

I will make your battlements of rubies,
your gates of sparkling jewels,
and all your walls of precious stones.

All your children will be taught by the Lord,
and great will be their peace.

In righteousness you will be established:
Tyranny will be far from you;
you will have nothing to fear.
Terror will be far removed;
it will not come near you.

If anyone does attack you, it will not be my doing;
whoever attacks you will surrender to you.

“See, it is I who created the blacksmith
who fans the coals into flame
and forges a weapon fit for its work.
And it is I who have created the destroyer to wreak havoc;

no weapon forged against you will prevail,
and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
and this is their vindication from me,”
declares the Lord.”  &

Words from Luke 9 (NIV)

“Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.  For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.  What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?  Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.”
